Brand discovery beta: a new approach to branding
Hi friends! I'm a brand designer + strategist and I work mostly with female, creative small biz owners. I find that most branding studios have pretty similar offers and services (brand strategy session or questionnaire, brand identity, and custom branded assets), but I've been recently been revisiting some of my offers and services and I decided to try out a different approach to branding that has felt aligned with me.
As I've worked with some of these women and built my own creative small business, I've found that there is a lot of deeper almost spiritual work to be done in order to really connect with your purpose as a business owner and build a sustainable and functional brand. While most brand designers lead with questions about what your ideal clients are, I find that to create a truly beautiful and aligned brand we have to really dig deep and get to the root of you. Knowing your ideal client and doing market research is important, but I want to begin to explore a new way of branding that is rooted in discovering you and your creative calling.
The core mission statement of my branding studio is to create beauty rooted in divine purpose. I've always believed that to create something truly beautiful, it has to first be rooted in purpose and intention. Even God himself after creating the world said, "It is good." I have this innate belief that when we create things in our business that are rooted in light, purpose, and goodness the potential for it is beyond our imagination. I think when we create and sell in our business without getting that clarity of purpose, we are viewing the stars from a tall building rather than actually being among the stars ourselves. I think the way most people do branding for their business (whether it's DIY or hiring a professional) is just putting a band-aid over the cancerous mass instead of surgically removing it and actually healing. I feel like we all buy templates, opt-in for free challenges, or follow models that make us believe we are building successful businesses + cult brands. But in reality, It's like squeezing our business into a beautiful dress that everyone says we look great in, but we can hardly breathe and move around in it. It has to fit YOU first, not the other way around.
I'm starting to discover this new way of serving businesses and I would love to connect with those that feel lost or burnt out in their business- whether that be because of a lack of sales or just a loss of feeling excited in their work. I'm rolling out a beta brand discovery service based on this new approach. Think of it as purpose coaching + branding services rolled up in one.
